The SustainableUW Festival has come to an end, with two big chances to cheer on the Huskies, in athletics and sustainability!

The cap to the SustainableUW Festival is Saturday night's Husky football game against Arizona. The competition isn't only on the field -  the UW is participating in the GameDay Recycling Challenge, a friendly competition for colleges and universities to promote waste reduction at football games. The University of Washington will be tracking how much waste ends up in the landfill as opposed to recycling and composting during the game, and will be ranked against other schools across the country. So be sure to pitch items into the correct bin! The game starts at 8 p.m., and you'll be able to find volunteers with the Athletics Green Team in the Zone before the game if you have any questions.

On Sunday, there's a bonus event. The UW volleyball team plays UCLA at 11 a.m. in the team's Green Game - look for UW Green Athletics' volunteers and Eco, the UW Green Athletics mascot, for information on UW Athletics' sustainability efforts.
