Volunteer for the Special Olympics USA Games this July

The Special Olympics USA Games will be coming to Seattle this summer July 1-6. More than 4,000 athletes and coaches will be staying in the North and West residence halls on the UW Seattle campus and eight of the fourteen Special Olympics USA Games events will be held on campus. Special Olympics USA Games needs volunteers to make sure that the USA Games are a success and that the athletes, their families and spectators have a great time.

Student volunteer wanted for campus group outreach

The new Green Dawgs program at the University of Washington encourages student groups to make their meetings, events, and member practices more sustainable. The program launched this fall, and is looking for a student Program Outreach Ambassador volunteer.

The outreach ambassador would work up to five hours a week to contact and inform student groups about the Green Dawg Certification program.

Join the UW football gameday sustainability team

The UW Athletics green team needs volunteers to be a part of the football game day sustainability team. Volunteers will play a major role in helping us reach our waste diversion goal of 80% this season. As a volunteer, you will engage with fans to encourage sustainable practices in the stadium and in the tailgate areas. After halftime, you are welcome to stay and watch the remainder of the game.

Student volunteer opportunity at CleanTech Innovation Showcase

The CleanTech Innovation Showcase, hosted by the CleanTech Alliance, is Monday, June 26 in Seattle. There are still openings for student volunteers, who will attend the showcase for free. Volunteers must be currently enrolled students or 2017 graduates from CleanTech Alliance member schools (including the University of Washington). All email inquiries must be sent from students' school email addresses. 

Husky football is looking for gameday sustainability volunteers

Help UW Athletics make a difference during football season! Sign up to be a football sustainability volunteer for the 2016 season. You will play a big role in helping UW reach our stadium waste diversion goal of 80%. 

Volunteers will be stationed around the stadium during the first half and at halftime, letting people know how to recycle and compost properly as well as helping fans choose the best option for their trash. After halftime you are free to watch the rest of the game.

Student volunteers needed for 2016 Built Green Conference

Looking to learn more about green building, sustainability, equity issues, and more? The Built Green Conference at Cascadia College on September 13th is looking for student volunteers, who will recieve a complementary ticket to the event, the opportunity to attend educational sessions, lunch, and the opportunity to network with other green building professionals.
