I2SL UW Student Chapter

The I2SL UW Student Chapter is dedicated to providing a representation of University of Washington students to promote and bring about awareness to the following vision:

Promotion – To raise awareness within the specialized building sector for creating resource-effective and environmentally responsible science, science education, testing, medicine, research, and development facilities
Implementation – To encourage collaborative creation of technologically advanced, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsive laboratories throughout the world.
Education – To facilitate the application of sustainable “whole-building” approach in designing, engineering, constructing, operating, and using laboratories and other advanced facilities.

Internship and Senior Capstone Opportunities

The Green Laboratory Program is happy to work with students on their Senior Capstone projects. We are also open to students interested in doing an internship with the program.

Green Lab Advisory Committee Meetings

Every other month, the Green Laboratory Advisory Committee meets to discuss updates on the Green Laboratory Program, as well as other topics relating to green laboratories. Staff and faculty are welcomed to sit in during any one of the following meetings:

August 18th, 2:30 - 3:30 PM (Gerberding Hall, Rm 26)

October 13th, 2:30 - 3:30 PM (Gerberding Hall, Rm 275)

December 8th, 2:30 - 3:30 PM (Gerberding Hall, Rm 275)

The I2SL Emerald City Chapter is focused on providing a local representation of the Greater Seattle Area to promote and bring about awareness to the following vision:
