Princeton Review Green Honor Roll
The Princeton Review Green Ratings attempt to measure how well schools provide a healthy and sustainable quality of life for students, how well they prepare students for a world defined by environmental concerns and opportunities, and how environmentally responsible their policies are. UW was one of 21 schools to earn a perfect 99 rating, garnering a Green Honor Roll award for the sixth straight year.

STARS Gold
The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance. The University of Washington achieved Gold with a total score of 77.47 percent.
The University of Washington received this rating in October 2015. STARS ratings are valid for three years.

Practice GreenHealth Top 25 Enviromental Excellence awards
Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington Medical Center were each selected for the Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award, recognizing the 25 health care facilities across the county that best exemplify enviromental excellence.

The League of American Bicyclists named UW a Gold-level bike friendly university, one of just 12 schools nationwide to earn a Gold or Platinum rating.

Beyond Traffic Innovation Center
The UW was selected as one of 18 Beyond Traffic Innovation Centers by the U.S. Department of Transportation. These centers are forward-thinking and influential institutions that are capable of driving solutions to transportation challenges by convening decision-makers in their megaregion and coordinating related research, curriculum, outreach, and other activities.
