A great way to cap off your Earth Week is to join a volunteer work party, and there are plenty of options today and Saturday.

Friday afternoon, the Society for Ecological Restoration and the Campus Sustainability Fund are hosting a work party starting at noon near PACCAR Hall. Help clean up and restore campus, and then at 4 p.m. the party is moving to the UW Farm by the Botany Greenhouse for an Earth Week Pizza Bake!

If you'd rather think about how to improve Earth Day and sustainability efforts, the newly-opened Intellectual House will the setting for a discussion on Deconstructing Earth Day at 2:30 p.m. Friday. The discussion circle will include several local and national special guests that are passionate activists on topics such as diversity, social justice, the environment, and economic equity. 

Saturday, there are three work parties to wrap up Earth Week. The UW Botanic Gardens are hosting a work party in the Arboretum with the Student Conservation Association starting at 9 a.m. Click here for more details.

EcoReps is hosting a street cleanup in the Greek community around UW starting at 10:30 a.m.

If you're near UW Bothell, the Friends of North Creek is also hosting a restoration event, with a BBQ lunch and all tools provided.
