The University of Washington will be well-represented at the upcoming Washington & Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference (WOHESC), taking place February 6-8 at Portland State University. 

Five representatives from UW Sustainability and the Campus Sustainabilty Fund are among the 11 UW speakers and panelists who will be featured at the conference. UW Sustainability Director Claudia Frere-Anderson is a featured speaker on Wednesday, Feb. 7, as part of the session "The Business Case | Campus Sustainability as Key Component of Institutional Strategic Planning." UW Associate Vice President Barbara Wingerson is part of the Thursday panel "The Big Picture: Campus Sustainability Through the Lens of Executive Leadership", and Toren Elste and Daimon Eklund will discuss advancing sustainability on campus through events. Campus Sustainability Fund Coordinator Kyle McDermott is also part of a panel on incorporating social justice, equity and diversity in campus green funds.
