UW Farm

The UW Farm is seeking undergraduate student staff members for the 2020 growing season (mid January through mid December). This position offers opportunities to work at three unique farm sites on campus as well as opportunities to develop real-life work skills in project management, team work, leadership, communication, volunteer management, food production, food safety, organic practices, and small farm business management.

Please note, this is an all-weather job. Student staff are expected to come to work on time and consistently, rain or shine. Commitment to the full four quarters in the calendar year 2020 (Winter Spring, Summer, Fall), and a willingness to learn, work hard and be flexible is required. Previous farming experience is not required. If you do not have farming background you must have taken The Urban Farm, Harvest To Health, or performed 30 hours of Service Learning before applying.

In 2020 there will be two student staff positions with emphasis on Intellectual House Partnerships and the UW Food Pantry. If you have experience with these campus organizations in addition to the Required qualifications noted in the position descriptions below, you will be a preferred candidate.

To apply for any of the positions, Submit a resume and cover letter to Perry Acworth at theuwfarm@gmail.com by midnight, December 31.
