Students living in the north campus neighborhood who are moving at the end of the summer (or who just have unwanted items to get rid of) can keep their stuff off the streets during the Husky Neighborhood Cleanup on August 30 and Sept. 24-25. All students can stop by the cleanup station on 17th Ave NE & NE 47th St. on these days and drop off unwanted items for free.

UW Recycling regularly works with partners to provide the cleanup service to students, keeping unwanted items off the curb and out of landfills by providing a venue for things to be recycled, donated or properly disposed of. Goodwill will be on hand to accept items in good condition for donation, and UW Recycling will take recyclables such as scrap metal or wood during the event. A UW student ID will be required to drop off materials.

If you aren't able to make it to one of the Husky Neighborhood Cleanup times, don't leave your unwanted or bulky items on the street! Goodwill and other area organizations will take reusable items for donation, and you can contact Seattle Public Utilities for bulky trash pick-up. You can also drop off trash and large recyclables at the North Transfer Station.

If you have any questions, contact UW Recycling at recycle@uw.edu.
