Join the UW football gameday sustainability team

The UW Athletics green team needs volunteers to be a part of the football game day sustainability team. Volunteers will play a major role in helping us reach our waste diversion goal of 80% this season. As a volunteer, you will engage with fans to encourage sustainable practices in the stadium and in the tailgate areas. After halftime, you are welcome to stay and watch the remainder of the game.

UW Athletics is looking for a sustainability intern

UW Athletics is looking for a sustainability sports operations intern for the 2017-2018 school year. The intern will be involved in all areas of the UW Athletics sustainability program, including football game day activities, social media content, research and data collection and analysis, committee meetings and many university-wide and athletic sustainability events. The internship will provide hands-on experience in marketing, communication, stewardship, research, events and leadership.

Husky football is looking for gameday sustainability volunteers

Help UW Athletics make a difference during football season! Sign up to be a football sustainability volunteer for the 2016 season. You will play a big role in helping UW reach our stadium waste diversion goal of 80%. 

Volunteers will be stationed around the stadium during the first half and at halftime, letting people know how to recycle and compost properly as well as helping fans choose the best option for their trash. After halftime you are free to watch the rest of the game.

UW fans know Melanie Wade for her contributions to the Husky volleyball team, including All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention nods her junior and senior year. Off the court, she's worked throughout her career to implement sustainability initiatives within the UW athletic department and across the campus as a whole.

Looking for student groups who love football and the environment

Do good for the environment, earn money for your RSO, and get into football games for free!

UW Recycling and Intercollegiate Athletics are looking for a reliable and environmentally aware student organization to provide recycling outreach to tailgaters prior to each home football game. The shift is 3-5 hours, depending on game start time, and a minimum of 6 volunteers per game is required. You will be walking throughout the parking lots to distribute recycling bags to tailgaters, promote recycling, and answer questions.
