The Sustainability staff at the UW Bothell, Tacoma and Seattle campuses are jointly hosting a Winter speaker series around Climate Change and Food Systems. The series will include virtual events, as well as an in-person event on each of the three campuses. Events will be weekly from January 18 to February 22.

As part of National Campus Sustainability Month earlier this quarter, representatives from all three UW campuses came together to discuss topics around food systems and our campus resources.

How are you practicing sustainability at home? Our recent tri-campus event brought together staff from the University of Washington's Bothell, Seattle and Tacoma campuses to talk about ways they practice sustainability, as well as hearing the experiences of our attendees. On February 23 at 1:30 p.m., the Sustainability staff of UW's Bothell, Seattle and Tacoma campuses are co-hosting the virtual event "Sustainability at Home." Access the event via Zoom.

The Environmental Chemistry and Hydrology Lab at UW Tacoma hosts undergraduate research projects with an emphasis on freshwater ecosystems, along with a long term Superfund project looking at metal contamination in water and organisms in local lakes. As a result of their environmental health related research, sustainability is at the forefront of the minds of the lab's researchers.

The UW Tacoma Center for Leadership & Social Responsibility is offering a 10-week online Certificate in Business Sustainability course this fall.
