Apply to attend the Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy in Chicago

The Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy (SISE) is a two-week "boot camp" for future decision makers eager to join the sustainability and energy revolution happening around the globe. Held annually since 2011, the program is held at the at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During weekdays, SISE'ers participate in high-level talks, visit energy and sustainability sites, and network. During evenings and weekends, they work collaboratively on a research project and enjoy exploring Chicago.

Apply by June 15 for Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy in Chicago

Students interested in sustainability and energy can apply to attend the Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy (SISE) hosted by the University of Illinois at Chicago Energy Initiative from August 3-16, 2017.

There is no program fee for participants. Everyone that attends receives free lodging, and many receive some support for travel. Applications are accepted through June 15 from senior-level undergrads, grad students and professionals from all academic backgrounds. 

Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy in Chicago

The University of Illinois at Chicago is accepting applications through July 1 for the 6th Annual Summer Institute on Sustainability and Energy (SISE), a two-week intensive workshop and lecture series for students and professionals. Admission into the program is highly competitive, drawing from a national pool of applicants. All participants attend free of charge, and will receive lodging for the duration of the two-week program. Many attendees will also receive partial support for travel costs.
