This Thursday, February 5th, UW will be hosting a videoconference with our senator, Maria Cantwell, to tell Washington, D.C. we must act now to stop climate change. This is a really unique opportunity to meet face-to-face (or face-to-screen?) with our elected official - let's make sure she gets the message loud and clear. Come represent UW in this important dialogue.
This event is part of the National Teach-In on Global Warming Solutions, so on the same day other students all around the country will be saying the same thing to their senators. Maria Cantwell will also, simultaneously, be talking with students from Seattle University - so it's really important that we represent our school well and let her know it's not just a few kids at a small, private college who support her strong action on climate change. Bring your friends, wear your husky pride, and stand up to fight climate change.
