Princeton Review Score of 99 - Green Honor Roll Status
The Princeton Review Green Ratings of colleges: a measure of how environmentally friendly the institutions are on a scale of 60 to 99. UW made the Green Honor Roll with 15 other colleges/universities.

Ranked #1 by Sierra Magazine Cool Schools 
Just a few reasons why UW leads the pack: Every building completed since 2006 has earned LEED Gold. All appliances bought are Energy Star rated. And the hydropowered campus runs three farms, an extensive recycling program, and the conservation-research hotbed Pack Forest.

Washington Green 50 Award
University of Washington is one of 50 companies and organizations selected for the Washington Green 50, the first such listing Seattle Business magazine has compiled from its annual Green Washington Awards competition.

EPA WasteWise Honorable Mention
The UW received a WasteWise Honorable Mention award in the College/University category from the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

EPA Green Power Partnership College & University Green Power Challenge
The UW received the Green Power Challenge award for helping the PAC-12 conference achieve the largest collective use of green power.

UW Medical Center Practice Greenhealth Recognition
The UWMC maintains its Environmental Leadership Circle status for the 6th consecutive year! The Environmental Leadership Award is the premier Award recognizing health care facilities that exemplify environmental excellence and are setting the highest standards for environmental practices and sustainability in health care.

UW Housing & Food Services Gold Medal in Waste Management
The UW was awarded a gold medal for waste management by the National Association of Colleges and University Food Services. The recognition acknowledges the work of UW Housing & Food Services in reducing waste sent to landfills and increasing campus composting and recycling.

Commuter Challenge Diamond Ring Award 
The goal of the 2011 Diamond Awards is to publicly recognize those local businesses and employee transportation coordinators that regularly go “above and beyond” when it comes to providing trip reduction programs to employees. Commuter Challenge showcases effective employee transportation programs in the King County region.

Diamong Ring recepients are recognized for their outstanding leadership in the field.
