UW 2012 Trashion ShowThe first annual UW "Trashion" Show was hosted by EcoReps as part of the UW 2012 Earth Day event to celebrate Earth Day and beckon audience members to reimagine and critically think about "waste." Models donned fantastical outfits designed by students and professionals, such as "Wasted in Waste," a suit of armor fashioned out of recycled beer cans to remind students of the waste created from a casual night out. Since the event, there have been sightings of the Knight in Foaming Armor battling terrifying wizards with imbued beer staffs and powerful red cup dragons, eventually defeating his foes and sending them back to the depths of the recycling bin where they belong.  Other outfits included "Cirque du Trash" designed by Rayona Visqueen and modeled by CEP undergraduate Claire Mueller, "Bar Made Bar Maid' an oufit created out of materials from bar recycling bins designed and modeled by School of Drama student Jessica Jones, and the oh-so-cute "U-Dress," a dress created out of recycled UW Bookstore bags by Melinda Wang and modeled by Molly Berg.

This year the Trashion Show is back by popular demand for Earth Day 2013! After some recognition from King 5 News, the trashionistas are ready to strut their stuff.
